Many folks ask me “How are you able to update & manage your social media so quickly?” One key way is through my mobile devices. Yes, that’s plural.
I carry both a Blackberry Pearl & a iPhone (I have actually cut back a phone or two, my Windows Mobile ran out of juice too quickly). One is better for particular apps and I just type so much faster on a Blackberry. All these Smartphone have mobile apps for your major players like Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Plaxo and many others. These mobile apps allow me to post pictures, updates, and even video to my networks. I even have a WordPress app now for my iPhone so I can write a post on-the-go.
There is so much you can do these days with a Smartphone. It is a must if you are on the go and want to keep up with your social networking. Check out the video. I show you some of my apps I actually have on my phone.

One of the key things I tell folks on social media is to be authentic. Be You! Be transparent. You don’t have to be over the top like Cramer is on Mad Money. You can be low-key like Bob Ross the painter and still have a huge following.
As long as you are passionate about what your talking about, have good content & you are authentic; you have a greater chance of gaining a larger audience & winning in social media.
So be athentic. Be YOU!

Its Important to build your network NOW! Folks give me all kinds of reasons why they are not doing it yet. They don’t have the time, they don’t know how to leverage it yet, etc. While you are figuring it out, just build your network.
Whether you are using Linkedin, Facebook, Plaxo, Twitter or whatever else. Just BUILD your network. Establishing connections now will save you time later when you understand how to work your business & social connections, implement blogging, & all the other strategies to build your personal brand.
