Location based Social media such as Foursquare, Facebook Places, and Gowalla are great ways to connect with consumers directly. All of these services have rewards and incentive to bring your customers into your businesses social circle. Deals on food, services, or products for the reigning Mayor or frequent check in’s would be a great way to get your name out to not only your current customers, but open up a world of new customers to you.

Vlingo application for iPhone, it is available fo Blackberry, Android & various other devices. Currently, it is only able to update Facebook and Titter for Social Networks via voice command. I expect Vlingo
While this video shows the to expand this to additional Social Networks but in the meantime its still a pretty nice app and will make it a little safer for folks updating on the road because we never text update while we drive
