THE Thing They Don’t Teach You at NSA National Convention: Do it Instantaneously

July 20th, 2009 by Nhat Pham.

Sitting in some great sessions at NSA National, I realize I was creating content via Twitter. There are people all over the world following tweets particularly to the hashtag #NSA09. (cont. below video)

Please enable Javascript and Flash to view this Flash video.

What I realized after talking with Larry Chiang at the convention, you need to create other content immediately. Larry had mention to send him a post 48 hours ago on this topic. 24 hours ago he said this is the third time I am asking you, where the blank is it?

See Larry writes for a little company called….BUSINESSWEEK! He would link it back from his freaking Blog which gets zillions of hits. Geez! And I am standing there dragging my feet.

I believe this next generation is going to be called the Generation NOW! If you hear it an hour later, its old news!

As Tom Cruise’s character Maverick said in Top Gun,”I feel the need, the need for Speed.” And it’s moving virtually at the speed of thought… or the speed of how fast you can text or type it off your Notebook, Netbook, or Macbook.

So what do you may want to have to do it Instantaneously?

  • Use your SmartPhone (aka Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Pre, Etc.) to help you tweet & write
  • Use apps such as Posterus for instant blogging & Qik for instant video
  • Have an internet connection all the time

If you are thinking about publishing something, someone is already writing about it or doing a video on it right now! So stop reading and start creating because you are already behind.

January 19th, 2009 by Nhat Pham.

David Nour, author of Relationship Economics, delivered an awesome presentation this past Friday in Richmond at the National Speaker Association (NSA) of Virginia.
This is my 3-in-3 (3 Question in 3 Minutes) interview with David Nour.
Question 1: What are some best Social Networking Best Practices?
David:
1. Have a Social Networking Strategy
2. Pick 3 – 5 tools to start with such as:

Linkedin, Twitter, Jigsaw, Xing, & Slideshare.net

3. Version one is better than Version none
David says just start somewhere

How to get traction now?
1. Create awareness for your brand by
- Writing articles
- Creating products
- Creating video blogs
- Giving away white papers & best practices

2. Create List rapport

Question 3: How do we learn more from you?
Go to www.relationshipecomics.net
or www.relationshipcurrency.com

David is a dynamic speaker and has ton of great content. Glad I was able to listen in and pick up a couple extra cool tools and more importantly able to get insights on how to tie it back to your brand and connect the dots.
